Albert Whitted Airport, St. Petersburg, Florida
This photograph was taken at the dedication of the Albert Whitted Airport in St. Petersburg, Florida. The airport was named for James Albert Whitted, a well-known and popular aviator in St. Petersburg and son of Thomas Austin Whitted and Julia Jeanettie Phillips of St. Petersburg.
Left to right: Lieutenant Harold Foster Fick, USN, Frances [Brent] Fick [widow of Albert Whitted], Belle Brent [sister of Frances], Thomas Austin Whitted, Frances "Fanty" Whitted, Julia Jeanettie Phillips Whitted, and Catherine Eugenia "Jean" Whitted. Fanty and Jean were the daughters of Albert Whitted and Frances Brent. Albert Whitted died in a plane crash in 1923.
