William Albert Whitted, 1865-1945, was the 5th child of William Clark Whitted and Sarah Ann Richardson. He and his wife, Mary Esther, first came to Washington after they married in 1886, before moving to Latah County, Idaho, where the rest of his family had settled and where the last eight of their eleven children were born.

William and Mary Esther eventually returned to Washington, living for a few years in Ranier before settling in Kelso about 1939. William died in 1945 and Mary Esther in 1961. Both are buried in Cowlitz View Memorial Gardens in Kelso, Washington.
