Aged Resident of West Clinton Dies Suddenly; Funeral Services Tomorrow Afternoon

George whitted, age 75 years, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at the home of his daughter, mrs. Clarence jones, who lives near West Clinton. Mr. Whitted suffered a stroke of apoplexy and succumbed to a cerebral hemmorrhage.

Mr. Whitted was born in 1854 and was the son of Enoch and Eliza whitted, deceased, who formerly lived in Clinton. He was a brother to Mrs. james G. Clark, who died about two weeks ago.

Surviving Mr. Whitted are: two sons, Thomas, of near West Clinton, and Arthur, who lives in Illinois; three daughters, Bertha, of Terre Haute; Mrs. Tom Jennings, of Klonkike Heights, and Mrs. Clarence jones, at whose home he lived; two brothers, Florence Whitted, of Clinton, and William Whitted, of Alabama, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Adams, of New Goshen, and Mrs. Charles Clinton, of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services are to be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Frist Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Riverside cemetery.

George Rogers Whitted was born 2 March 1854 in Vermillion County, Indiana, the oldest child of Enoch Whitted and Eliza Hise. He married Mary B. Whitson in Clinton, Vermillion County, on 18 January 1874. They had five children. Mary died first, in 1917, and George died on 27 July 1929.
