100 West Jackson Street, Pensacola, Florida, the home of Merced Gonzalez Brent from 1908 until her death in 1919. Merced was the wife of Thomas William Brent and mother of F.C. Brent. Merced's unmarried children also lived with her in this house: Danny Gonzalez Brent, Anna Pauline Brent, Catherine Irene Brent, Mary Ella Brent, Mary Bertha Brent, and Robert Johnson Brent. One other unmarried son, William Thomas Brent, joined the Redemptorist order. He died in Missouri in 1899. This house is across the street from the Brent's carriage house. F.C. Brent first kept his horses and carriages there and later his automobiles. The large barn there was used by Albert Whitted, Frances Brent's husband, to build his planes.
