Eliza Pierce daughter and second child of Jarvis Peirce Sr. and Rhoda Darby, was born 8 October 1798. She was the sister of Jarvis Pierce Jr. and granddaughter of Josiah Peirce and Sarah Gale. She married Israel Day Towle, son of Jacob and Mary Towle, 20 April 1816 in Greenburgh, Westchester County, New York. Eliza died 20 July 1876 in Harrisburg, Saline County, Illinois, where she is buried in the old section of the Harrisburg Cemetery.
