Elbridge and Caroline were buried in New Cemetery, now called Major Adams Cemetery, in Bradenton, Florida. The cemetery is located between 6th Avenue West and Martin Luther King Avenue West [9th Ave. W.] with the cemetery entrance on 3rd St. West. The graves are to the right and not far from the main entrance.

Allen Whitted, Elbridge and Caroline's son, born in 1860, purchased and prepared the gravesites and buried both his parents. Along with other family members, Michael and Anita Evanco erected the plaques, seen in the photographs above, in 1981. Anita Evanco, was the daughter of Allen Whitted, son of Elbridge and Caroline, and Annie Viola Walker.
