William Louis Shuttleworth and Clotilda Brosnaham

Captain William L. Shuttleworth and Clotilda Santiaga Brosnaham were married 6 July 1843 in Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida. They were married by F.F. Peake, Rector, Christ Church, according to the rites of the Protestant Episcopal Church. Clotilda died in 1850 and in 1851, William Louis married a second time, this time to Clotilda's half-sister, Amanda Brosnaham. Clotilda and two of her three children were buried in the Catskill Village Cemetery in Catskill New York.

The document reads: "I hereby certify that on the 6th day of July A.D. 1843 William L. Shuttleworth & Clotilda S. Brosnaham were united by me in holy Matrimony, according to the rites of the Protestant Epis. Church in the United States of America.
Dated July 8th, 1843
F.F. Peake, Rector, Christ Church, Pensacola"
